Label printer and manufacturer looks forward to a bright future
Jet Label, western Canada’s largest all in one label printer and manufacturer was awarded a three year contract with Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) on October 20, 2016 to provide all common use stock to Canada’s largest airport. Jet Label began in 1998 with just two employees and has since grown to a staff of over seventy people with operations in Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, Kelowna, Prince George, Saskatoon and Winnipeg.
Jet Label will be supplying various printed thermal stock materials for common use items such as, baggage tags and boarding passes for passengers at the Toronto Pearson International Airport. The company currently supplies the Calgary and Edmonton International airports with their baggage tags and boarding passes; however, to supply Canada’s largest airport is an honor, says President and CEO Darrell Friesen. According to statistics published by GTAA, as of August 2016 the Toronto Pearson International Airport has serviced over 29 million passengers for the current calendar year, which is an increase of 7.1% from the previous year, and numbers are expected to continue to grow. Jet Label has experienced advancements to have some of the most technologically superior label presses in Canada, capable of delivering the best quality and error free labels possible. Their commitment to delivering exceptional products all while striving to improve their environmental sensitivity everyday, is just one of the reasons they were awarded this three year contract with GTAA.
“To have the largest airport in Canada trust us with something so vitally important to everyday activity is an honor and attributes to the quality and error free product that Jet Label provides”, said Darrell Friesen, President and CEO. Jet Label is excited for the opportunity to be partnered with GTAA and hopes to continue to grow and expand their business to other major airports in Canada.
